Position Objective: Generate new clients and revenue while prospecting and selling in a given territory or referral segment.


Responsibilities:
Under the leadership of Sales Management and within specific quota attainment guidelines for the position:
o Presenting over 60 products and services of Paychex to small business owners and final decision makers.
o Scheduling appointments and visiting potential and current referral sources to ask for referrals to small business owners.
o Prospecting for new clients and new referral sources by telephone, direct mail, seminars, current client visits, or other local marketing programs.
o Analyzing needs and interests of potential customers, determining which products are appropriate and referring to appropriate internal sales partners when necessary.
o Working with partners in Service to expedite resolutions for customers.
o Completing and submitting accurate new business paperwork, expense reports and weekly activity reports to help achieve sales goals.
o Projecting the Paychex values of Service, Partnership, Innovation, Accountability, Respect and Innovation to clients and the community.
o Developing personally and professionally thru technical, competitive and sales skills knowledge.
o May be required to travel outside of geographical territory for purposes of attending Conference, training sessions and/or area Zone meetings.


Position Requirements

High School Diploma (BA/BS preferred) in business or related field.
-2 years relevant sales/marketing experience
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
